Consumers who often order items for delivery will likely be thrilled to hear of a new technology that could be set to change the future of package and parcel delivery.

A new GPS tracking system will allow the delivery driver of the consumer’s item to accurately locate the customer and deliver the package to them directly, eliminating any chance of them missing the parcel and allowing them to continue with their plans throughout the day, no matter where they are!

Modern-day smart phones now have a plethora of apps that make good use of the handsets’ built-in GPS technology, from fitness-related running and cycling tracking apps to fully-functioning navigation apps. This fantastic new GPS system could be set to enhance the delivery service even more by increasing delivery rates substantially.

While still in early stages of development, the system shows strong signs of popularity and interest, however there is much work to be done in the way of working out how to access a customer’s GPS information to provide the delivery without invading a certain level of privacy.
